On the competitive plane, the struggle to get rich is a Godless scramble for power over other men; 

경쟁적 환경에서 부자가 되기 위해서는 서로 권력을 얻기 위해 쟁탈전을 벌여야 하지만,

Some people remain in poverty because they are ignorant of the fact that there is wealth for them; 

하지만, 어떤 이들은 풍요를 누릴 수 있다는 사실조차 모르고 있기 때문에 가난한 삶을 이어가고 있습니다. 

 

Others are poor because, while they feel that there is a way out, they are too intellectually indolent to put forth the mental effort necessary to find that way and travel it; 

또 어떤 사람은 방법은 알고 있지만, 나태함에 빠져 행동으로 옮기지 않기 때문에 가난한 것입니다.
